With its pilot call for proposals, “LSN-NetzWerkstatt,” the Leipzig Science Network is in 2026, for the first time, specifically supporting the initiation of new research collaborations. The goal is to connect researchers from related fields across institutions and to jointly explore new research topics.
✅ Six project teams were selected. They illustrate the thematic diversity and innovative potential of Leipzig as a hub for science and research—ranging from 3D printing, mathematical modeling, and AI to spatial and urban research, as well as materials and medical technology research.
👥 Researchers from ten of our 25 member institutions are participating.
📅 The first workshop will take place on June 10, 2026 (registration is still open), with the other workshops to follow in the fall of 2026.
👉 Researchers from Leipzig and the surrounding area who are interested are cordially invited to participate.
For more information, please visit our NetzWerkstatt page (in German). We look forward to the interdisciplinary collaborations that will emerge and are eager to see the ideas and outcomes of the workshops.
