Welcome!

Leipzig is home to one of the oldest universities in continuous operation and is today a prominent academic hub for talent from around the world. Every year, Leipzig welcomes thousands of international visitors to its university, colleges, and numerous research institutions, which together form an exceptionally broad and diverse array of renowned institutions in the arts, culture, and science. Collaboration in research, teaching, and administration, as well as the shared use of infrastructure, are at the core of the Leipzig Science Network.

The network enhances the visibility of our city and its outstanding opportunities for the scientific community. We place great emphasis on academic freedom, thereby supporting our artists and scientists in working collaboratively and creatively. Through this network, we are able to connect the relevant administrative stakeholders and thus create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for every international researcher.

Our Housing Exchange Are you planning to spend some time abroad and would like to sublet your apartment? Do you have available living space (e.g., a room, an apartment) that you would like to make available to international visiting scholars on a temporary or recurring basis? The Leipzig Science Network is constantly looking for (partially) furnished private accommodations to match with international visiting scholars from the network who are coming to Leipzig to teach and conduct research.
