LSN Network Workshop

The LSN is a platform for identifying and developing new research topics across institutions that have the potential to grow into larger collaborative projects. With the pilot call for proposals “LSN NetzWerkstatt,” the LSN is funding the initiation of research collaborations for the first time in 2026. The aim of the funding is to connect researchers from related fields and to identify new, joint research topics. Topics that are relevant to as many departments and institutions as possible are particularly encouraged.

Housing Exchange

Are you planning to go abroad for a while and would like to sublet your apartment? Do you have available living space (e.g., a room or an apartment) that you would like to offer to visiting international scholars on a temporary or recurring basis?
The Leipzig Science Network is always on the lookout for (partially) furnished private accommodations to offer to international visiting scholars from the network who are coming to Leipzig to teach and conduct research. If you would like to post a listing, please contact us.

Welcome to Leipzig

Our network includes the "Welcome to Leipzig" portal, which provides international researchers with the best possible support when they arrive in Leipzig. You can find the welcome guide and further information at https://welcome-to-leipzig.de/.

Dual Career Network Central Germany (DNCM)

Career advancement often involves relocating—and this can be particularly challenging for dual-career couples who want to take this step together. For employers, this means that if they want to attract and retain skilled workers and managers, they must offer more than just a good employment contract.
Through the Dual Career Network Central Germany (DCNM), 38 universities, research institutions, and local governments are working in partnership with companies to promote modern human resources policies and successful careers for both partners—because, after all, the entire region benefits when talented individuals stay and contribute their skills.
Since 2024, the DCNM has been part of the Leipzig Science Network.
The DCNM coordinator, Friederike Lauterbach, is available to assist you.

Career Portal

The Central Germany Career Portal features daily updated job listings from 43 universities, research institutions, and local governments in Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and Thuringia. It is a service provided by the DCNM through the Leipzig Science Network.
