Exchange with Dresden-concept e. V.

Published at 29.11.2025
The offices from DRESDEN-concept e. V. and the Leipzig Science Network, along with the City of Leipzig’s Knowledge Policy Department, met once again for a collegial exchange on networking, research funding, knowledge and technology transfer in Leipzig!

Science networks play a vital role in positioning Saxony’s two science hubs on the international stage, initiating excellent interdisciplinary research, and generating synergies in knowledge transfer, infrastructure, and administration. During a guided tour of the Leipzig Science Park, two outstanding non-university research institutions were presented in more detail: First, Tilo Arnhold and his team reported on the fascinating climate and cloud research at the Leibniz Institute for Tropospheric Research (TROPOS). Second, Managing Director Prof. Dr. Kathrin Böhning-Gaese, along with Doris Wolst and her team, presented research at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) that explores the interface between humans and the environment. Thank you very much for the exciting insights and the consistently excellent exchange.
See you next time, back in Dresden!
