ERC Grant for Research at the Helmholtz Center for Environmental Research (UFZ)

We extend our congratulations to Prof. Dr. Beate Escher and the UFZ on this tremendous success! The project “ToxSick: From toxic mixtures to disease” investigates how complex mixtures of pollutants contribute to the development of diseases. The research aims to open up new avenues for better understanding risks to the environment and human health. The ERC Advanced Grant is endowed with approximately 2.5 million euros.

We are delighted that an outstanding research project from our network is among the award recipients—a strong testament to scientific excellence in the Leipzig region.
